The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will head "down the road" to New Haven, Conn. on Sunday, Sept. 2 to face Yale in a non-conference game at Johnson Field at 1 p.m. Quinnipiac is 2-1 on the year while Yale is 0-1 on the season.
Scouting Yale
Yale is currently 0-1 on the young season following a 4-0 loss to Fairfield on Friday, Aug. 31. The Bulldogs won the 2011 Ivy League Championship after scoring a program record 69 goals. Erica Borgo and Georgia Holland are among the returning active leading scorers from last year's team. Borgo is a two-time All-Ivy League selection and ranks among the all-time leaders in assists - a category she finished second in nationally last season with 17. Holland was third on the team with 22 points, including nine assists.
Yale holds the edge in the all-times, having won nine of the 12 meetings between the two teams dating back to 2000. Quinnipiac owns one win in eight trips to Yale's Johnson Field.
