Seniors Kaitie Notarianni and Lauren Zimniski share their first blog about the Quinnipiac field hockey team’s experience at the 2011 Northeast Conference Tournament:
Bon Dia! Coming at you from New Jersey on the Dattco Experience bus while we wait to get shuttled to our luxurious hotel about ten minutes away. We are the dynamic duo of Kaitie Notarianni and Lauren Zimniski, and we will be blogging this whole weekend about our experience at the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Tournament.
This season has been absolutely thrilling for the team, especially for the seven seniors. Earlier this year, the Bobcats ran all-over the Yale Bulldogs when we beat them in double overtime and penalty shots to be victorious for just the second time in the last eleven years. We won two more games in overtime, as well as taking nationally-ranked #10 Maine into overtime, which ended up being our only loss on our home turf the entire season!
This morning, we left chilly Mount Carmel at 10 a.m. and started our journey with sandwiches from Bread n Chocolate - YUM! As a present for making NEC’s, Becca gave us Bobcat socks so we can run around the hotel in them tonight. Then we played a competitive game of team crossword puzzles. We finished our journey to Rider’s turf after watching "Crazy, Stupid, Love". Ryan Gosling really made our three-hour trip worth it.
Our team is extremely close this year, and we have had so much fun! We are not ready for this season to end. Therefore, we will be winning tomorrow and continuing to Live the Legend.
Question of the Day: Who would win in a fight? A Bobcat or a Hawk?
Peace. Love. #QUFH.
