Heading To Pennsylvania
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team (5-8, 1-2 NEC) will
head to Pennsylvania for a pair of Northeast Conference games this
weekend. The Bobcats take on Saint Francis (Pa.) (3-11, 1-2 NEC) on
Friday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. at DeGol Field before heading to Moon
Township on Sunday, Oct. 24 to face Robert Morris (4-10, 1-2 NEC)
at Joe Walton Stadium at 12 p.m.
Scouting Saint Francis (Pa.)
Saint Francis is currently 3-11 overall and 1-2 in the Northeast
Conference, with their only conference win coming on Oct. 17 with a
3-2 overtime victory against Siena. The win was SFPA's first in six
games. Rebecca Reiff leads the Red Flash in goals (4) and points
(9). Kellie Mason has also scored four goals, while Tia Dudukovich,
Caitlin Brown and Jocelyn Scillia have all scored three goals.
Katelyn Vitali has seen the bulk of the minutes in goal for SFPA,
logging a 3.47 GAA with a .657 save precentage.
All-Time Against The Red Flash
Quinnipiac and Saint Francis have met 10 times in their all-time
history, with the Bobcats holding a 9-1 advantage. Quinnipiac is
3-1 all-time at DeGol Field and have outscored the Red Flash 15-4
on their home field dating back to their first meeting on Sept. 23,
2001. Quinnipiac has shutout Saint Francis is three of their last
four games against the Red Flash.
Scouting Robert Morris
Robert Morris is 4-11 overall and 1-2 in the Northeast Conference
following a 4-1 loss to Bryant their last time out on Oct. 17. The
Colonials had won two straight before that, both in overtime, with
a 3-2 win against Bellarmine on Oct. 10 and a 2-1 win against Siena
on Oct. 12. Chantele Crow paces the Colonials with four goals and
three assists for 11 points, all team-highs. Julie Gabriel (3
goals), Ally McGuire and Kylie McKain (2 goals apiece) also have
multiple goals. Stephanie Seeley has logged a majority of the
minutes in the cage for the Colonials, posting a .713 save
percentage and a 3.40 goals against average.
All-Time Against The Colonials
Quinnipiac and Robert Morris have met six times in their all-time
history, with the Bobcats taking five of the six meetings,
including a 4-0 shutout last season. In six games all-time,
Quinnipiac has outscored the Colonials 19-2, with shutouts in five
of the six games. The Bobcats are 2-1 all-time in Moon Township.
