Field Hockey Raises Over $1,000 For Susan G. Komen "Play 4 The Cure" Program
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University field hockey team, in
collaboration with Brown University at Tuesday, Oct. 5's field
hockey game, raised over $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation
"Play For The Cure" initiative in support of breast cancer
research. Parents, friends and and supporters lined the fence at
the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden,
Conn. for the cause, on a cold, rainy afternoon.
Quinnipiac field hockey head coach Becca Kohli and her coaching
staff coordinated a bake sale and donation tent for the game. The
fundraiser was part of Quinnipiac Athletic's Positive Play program,
designed to encourage community involvement among Quinnipiac's
student-athletes, coaches and staff. October is Play 4 The Cure
Month.
