The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will play the first of their final two home and regular-season games of the year on Friday, Oct. 30 when they host Robert Morris University in a Northeast Conference showdown at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Field in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac enters the game with a record of 4-11 overall and 3-3 in the Northeast Conference, good for a tie of third place with Monmouth University. Robert Morris is 2-11 overall and 1-5 in NEC play.

The Playoff Picture Is...
...blurry, but gradually clearing up, as it usually is when talking about the Northeast Conference standings. Lock Haven and Rider have locked up two of the four remaining spots, leaving Monmouth, Quinnipiac, Siena and St. Francis (Pa.) playing for the final two spots. The Bobcats, at 3-3, can clinch a spot with a win in one of their final two games, and loses by Siena and St. Francis (Pa.). Should Monmouth win as well, they would take the fourth spot, with Quinnipiac winning the tiebreaker and securing the third slot.

Back To Back
Kaitlyn Notarianni scored in back-to-back games for the Bobcats after totaling the game-winner against Monmouth on Oct. 18 and also scoring against Yale on Oct. 22.

Still Not Bad
Jenna Grossman stopped a season-high 14 shots in goal against Yale on Thursday. It was the second-highest save total of her career after she stopped 15 against Connecticut during her freshman year. Including Sunday's game, she now has seven games, out of 66 for her career, in which she has stopped 12 or more shots in a game. In fact, Grossman has 18 double-digit saves games to her career, and a career-best seven this season after stopping 10 shots on Sunday.

Scouting Robert Morris University
Robert Morris is currently 2-11 overall and 1-5 in the Northeast Conference. The Colonials have lost three straight and seven of their last eight games. Chantele Crow leads the Colonials in goals (4), assists (2) and points (10). In goal, Stephanie Seeley has played more than 880 minutes between the pipes, posting a .773 save percentage and a 3.09 goals-against average.
