HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University junior Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) was named to the 2014 New England Collegiate Baseball Association Division I All-New England Second Team, as announced on May 21, 2014. This year's NEIBA All-Star Game, pitting the Division I All-Stars against the Division II and III All-Stars will be played at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass.
Guglietti was previously named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Second Team on Wednesday, May 20 in West Long Branch, N.J. The third-year Bobcat was an offensive force for Quinnipiac, leading head coach Dan Gooley's squad in most offensive categories.
In his third year, Guglietti led Quinnipiac in average (.341), runs scored (29), hits (59), doubles (13), home runs (5), RBI (36), slugging percentage (.514), multiple-hit games (16), multiple-RBI games (11), average against right-handed pitching (.386), average with runners on base (.400), average with runners in scoring position (.407), average with two outs (.446), two-out hits (29) and two-out RBI (19). In addition, he was named the MAAC Player of the Week on Apr. 8 and also the Quinnipiac Athletics Athlete of the Month for April. Guglietti previously earned all-conference honors when he was named to the All-Northeast Conference Second Team as a freshman in 2012.
