The Last Time They Met
Last season, Quinnipiac split a pair of doubleheaders, losing the first game on Saturday before responding with a win in the night cap. On Sunday, the Bobcats won the first game before losing the fourth game of the series. Nick Fabrizio shined, hurling a one-hitter that saw the Bobcats' starter lose his no-hitter bid in the sixth inning.
The Bobcats' Last Time Out
The Bobcats exploded for nine runs on 20 hits in a non-conference loss to UMass on Wednesday, May 1, falling to the Minutemen, 10-9, in a game that saw Quinnipiac erase three deficits over the course of nine innings. Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) blasted a two-run homer for his first of the year as part of a 3-for-4 day that saw the big first baseman drive in three runs. Mike Blumenthal (Dix Hills, N.Y.) hit a pinch-hit home run in the eighth, before Scott Donaghue (Marlboro, N.J.) blasted a three-run bomb for his team-leading third of the season.
