The Bobcats were held to just four hits for the afternoon. Joe Poletsky (Riverside, Conn.), Kyle Nisson (Wallingford, Conn.), Zak Palmer (Mahwah, N.J.) and Ray Buckley (Milford, Conn.) all managed hits for the Bobcats.
For Rhode
Island, Jeff Roy was 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Tom
Coulombe had a two-run triple. Mike LeBel, Jeff Cammans and Kevin
Stenhouse also drove in runs. Anthony Pisani picked up the win to
improve to 4-0 after holding Quinnipiac scoreless on three hits
over six innings. Gardner Leaver and LeBel pitched the final three
innings.
Kevin Castodio (Pawcatuck, Conn.) pitched one inning of perfect baseball. Castodio has been solid for the Bobcats as he has not allowed an earned run in his last 10 1/3 innings spanning his last five appearances. Andrew Rinaldi (East Rockaway, N.Y.) pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac is back in action this weekend when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. to face Long Island University in a four-game Northeast Conference series at KeySpan Park.
