The Quinnipiac University baseball team (1-1) will face Ball State (1-6) in a non-conference game at the Coastal Carolina Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Bobcats and Cardinals square-off on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 7 p.m. at Watson Stadium/Vrooman Field on the Coastal Carolina campus.
Quinnipiac opened their season with a doubleheader split against Marshall on Friday, Mar. 4. The Bobcats took the first game, 8-3, behind a three-RBI performance from Mickey Amanti (Waterford, Conn.). The Bobcats dropped the second half of the twin-bill, 7-3, to the Thundering Herd.
Ball State enters the game after dropping an 11-1 decision to host No. 27 Coastal Carolina last night. The 1-6 Cardinals have lost two straight following a 6-2 win against Southeast Missouri on Saturday, Feb. 26.
