Game Set Against The Blue Devils
The Quinnipiac University baseball will play a pair of games
against the ACC's Duke Blue Devils onMonday, March 8 and Tuesday,
March 9 at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C. Both games are
slated for a 3 p.m. start. Quinnipiac is currently 0-3 after a
three-game series against North Carolina State while Duke stands at
7-3.
All-Time Against Duke
Quinnipiac and Duke have played three times, with the Blue Devils
winning all three match-ups dating back to their first game in
2006.

Mickey
Mickey Amanti batted a team-high .545 (6-11) in three games against
North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C. while also driving in a
team-high four runs. In the first game of the three-game set with
the Wolfpack, Amanti was 3-for-4 with an RBI double, while also
posting a three-hit showing in the third game of the series with
three RBI.
Joe-Po
Joe Poletsky also got off to a good start with five hits in his
first eight at-bats. Poletsky is batting .455 (5-11) with two runs
scored through three games.

First At-Bat Can Say A Lot
Brian Monack blasted a homerun in his first at-bat of the 2010
season against NC State on Friday, March 5. Last season, Monack led
the team with nine homeruns.
Young Buck
Freshman Ray Buckley was called-on to pinch hit against NC State in
the Bobcats' season-opener. In his first collegiate at-bat, Buckley
knocked in two runs with a single.
B&B Connection
Ben Farina and Brian Monack are currently the only Bobcats to
record a hit in Quinnipiac's first three games. Farina was 2-for-3
with an RBI and a run scored in the season-opener. He followed it
up with a 1-for-4 showing in the second game before closing out the
three-game set with the Wolfpack 2-for-4 with two RBI. Monack was
1-for-5 with a two-run homer in the first game, 1-for-4 in the
second and closed out the NC State series 2-for-4 with a run
scored.
