Georgia On My Mind

The Quinnipiac University baseball will resume their spring trip when they travel to Athens, Ga. to take on No. 2 Georgia, last season's College World Series runner-up. Quinnipiac lost their first three games of the season, 10-11, 2-10 and 1-7, to the University of Maryland last weekend.

Pitching Probables

Chris Gloor will take the hill for the Bobcats on Friday, squaring off against Georgia righthanded pitcher Trevor Holder. Gloor took a no-decision in his first start of the season in the Bobcats' season-opener to Maryland. Gloor allowed six runs on six hits over 3 2/3.

Andy Mayer will start on Saturday against the Bulldogs. In his first start of the season, Mayer scattered five hits over five innings while allowing three runs. He would take the loss in the game to open the year at 0-1.

Mike Oskandy gets the nod on Sunday. Oskandy had a strong outing against Maryland last weekend and was the hard-luck loser in a 7-1 loss to the Terrapins. Oskandy allowed eight hits over seven innings while also giving up five runs - four of which were unearned.

Bob The Builder

In a three-game series against Maryland, Bobak Emamian batted a team-high .364 (4-11) with two RBI andn three runs scored. Against the Terrapins in the first game of the series, Emamian was 1-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored while also walking twice. Emamian followed that performance with a 3-for-4 showing in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Gentle Ben

Ben Farina currently leads the Bobcats in hits (5) through Quinnipiac's first three games. Farina is batting .357 (5-14) with a pair of doubles and a run scored.

M&M

Michael Marmo is the Bobcats' only other .300-hitter, checking in a .308 (4-13) with a pair of RBI's and a run scored.

And A Child Shall Lead Them

Freshman Chris Migani currently leads the team with three RBI through Quinnipiac's first three games.

Doyle Rules

Senior Bryn Doyle is currently batting .273 (3-11), but carries a team-high .429 on-base percentage. Doyle and Emamian share the team lead in runs scored (3).
