Thank you for visiting Quinnipiac Sideline Cheerleading.

Quinnipiac Sideline Cheerleading is a non-competitive sideline cheerleading team.  Your main role as a sideline cheerleader is to engage the fans with enthusiastic sideline cheers, call-back chants, and routines performed during timeouts and halftime.  You will embrace the fans and encourage a winning, spirited atmosphere for the Quinnipiac Basketball Men’s and Women Teams.

                          


 Responsibilities

 The commitment to the cheer squad is from September until late March. The following will be required of all cheerleaders:

Cheer at all home basketball games throughout the year

   Participate in various events including Midnight Madness

             Travel to some away basketball games and the NEC Tournament

            Practice twice per week during the school year

            Participate in various promotional or community service events throughout the year


Requirements

Individuals who try out for the Sideline Cheer team must meet the following qualifications:
Have cheer, stunting & tumbling experience
Males & females must be athletic and in good shape physically
Maintain a 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Enthusiasm and school spirit. QU cheerleaders are an important public relations tool
