Brian Fairbrother joined the Quinnipiac University Sports Medicine staff in 2006, and is now in his fifth year as an assistant athletic trainer for the Bobcats'. In addition to his athletic training responsibilities, Fairbrother is a lecturer and approved clinical instructor for the athletic training program at Quinnipiac University.
Prior to arriving in Hamden, Fairbrother spent one year at Ohio University where he completed his Master's degree in Recreation and Sports Science, and served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. He worked primarily with the football, women's lacrosse, and track and field squads. Before his stint at Ohio University, Fairbrother spent time at Harvard University, where he worked with the Crimson football team.
Fairbrother is a licensed athletic trainer in Connecticut and an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Fairbrother is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a Basic Life Support Instructor for the American Heart Association.
Fairbrother is a 2005 graduate of Northeastern University with a B.S. in Athletic Training.
