HAMDEN, Conn. - Registrations are now being accepted for the 20th Annual Bill Mecca Roundball Gold Open - presented by TD Bank - to be held on Thursday, May 19 at the Laurel View Country Club in Hamden, Conn., and The Country Club of Woodbridge. All Proceeds directly benefit Quinnipiac University student-athletes.

The scramble-style tournament is limited to 144 participants (36 four-player teams) at each venue. The entry fee is $160 per person, which includes lunch, golf, Bobcats' apparel gift, and a meal at the post-tournament cookout (5-7 p.m.) on Quinnipiac University's Mount Carmel Campus. More than 100 items will be raffled away, and awards will be presented to the top six teams, longest-drive and closest-to-the-pin winner, and any holes-in-one.
Bill Mecca is the senior associate athletic director at Quinnipiac University, where he has coached, or served as a member of the athletics department administration, for over 30 years. Mecca was recently inducted into the Quinnipiac Athletic Hall of Fame for his career-long contributions to Quinnipiac.
