HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University will host the fourth annual Cheer and Dance Challenge on Saturday, March 1 for 105 teams representing Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. The three-session competition will feature more 1,200 participants from middle schools, high schools, all-star teams and colleges. The event will take place in the Quinnipiac Recreation Center located on the Mount Carmel Campus.
A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut.
The morning session begins at 8 a.m. for middle schools, junior varsity and varsity teams from high schools and colleges. The afternoon session begins at 2 p.m. featuring all-star teams. The third session is the dance competition beginning at 6 p.m. and featuring middle school, high school, college and all-star teams.
Exhibition performances by Quinnipiac spirit groups Kickline, Step to Perfection, Dance Fusion and the Quinnipiac cheerleaders will take place at the end of the first and third sessions.
