HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University Department of Athletics has announced the launch of the brand new mobile phone application, which was originally released on Thursday, Nov. 12. The application will be an efficient representation of the Quinnipiac Athletics website, www.quinnipiacbobcats.com, and will feature the same news, scores and highlights as the Bobcats' official homepage.

"Mobile technology is here to stay and we are thrilled to have the iPhone App for Quinnipiac Athletics," director of athletics Jack McDonald said. "The QU iPhone APP is one of the first in intercollegiate athletics and will allow Quinnipiac fans to instantly access scores, schedules, results, photos and "Bobcasts". It is particularly pleasing for us that this iPhone APP was developed and designed by three former Quinnipiac baseball players. Bob Emamian '09, Eric Weber '09 and Tyler Brett '09 from Prolific Interactive assisted us for the past six months with developing this neat APP."

Created and developed by Prolific Interactive, along with the help of independent developers, the application portrays all the average Bobcat fan needs to know about past and present news and events of Quinnipiac's 19 varsity teams. Emamian, Weber and Brett, along within Adam Dutton, headed the process in developing the application which was three months in the making. The app brings the QU athletics website right to the palm of iPhone users' hands with easy navigation and up-to-date news and results from all of Quinnipiac's teams. Podcasts and videos are also available.

 Prolific Interactive, a new media agency specializing in cutting-edge websites, mobile applications and social media campaigns, was created by Emamian and Weber in April, 2009. The company has vastly grown since its inception with increased clientele, resulting in the addition of Brett and Dutton.  Along with the iPhone application, Prolific headed the social media campaign to help promote Quinnipiac's recent Midnight Madness event.  The Prolific team is a proud partner of Quinnipiac Athletics and will continue to work on event promotions.
