NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Nine members of the Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team volunteered their time at the March of Dimes New Haven March for Babies walk on April 26. The march took place at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.

The team stayed for the day-long event, helping to set up before the march started. They also registered participants for the march, as well as assisting families who wanted to sign up as a group. Throughout the day, the team entertained the children at the event by working at the arts and crafts table and playing games.

“I’m so glad our team got the opportunity to help out at this event,” said junior Kallie Flor. “It was great to see the support for the cause and the passion these people feel.”

March of Dimes is a United States health charity, whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
