Friday The 13th
The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will host Harvard on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7:37 p.m. in a game that can be viewed on the New England Sports Network. The Bobcats will then host Dartmouth on Sunday, Nov. 14, with both games played at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac enters Friday's game as winners of six of their last seven games played, with a 2-0-0 mark in ECAC Hockey action. Harvard comes to Hamden on Friday with a record of 1-2-0 overall and in league play. Dartmouth stands at 0-3-0 overall and in ECAC Hockey play and is searching for its first wins.

Broadcast News
Friday night's ECAC Hockey match-up between Quinnipiac and Harvard can be seen live on the New England Sports Network (NESN). The game is set for a 7:37 p.m. puck drop and will feature Bill Schweizer with the play-by-play, Rich Coppola with the color commentary and Bill Mecca with the sideline report. Prior to the start of Friday night's game, NESN will are of first of a three-part series highlighting Quinnipiac Athletics titled "Bobcats Unleashed In HD".

Scouting Harvard University
Harvard University comes to Hamden, Conn. on Friday, Nov. 13 with an overall record of 1-2-0. The Crimson opened the season with a 5-3 win against Dartmouth, before back-to-back losses to Colgate (5-4) and Cornell (6-3). Alex Killorn leads the Crimson in goals (three) and is tied for the team lead in points (five). Freshman Louis Leblanc checks in with two goals and three assists while Chris Huxley leads Harvard with four assists, while adding a goal for five points. Leblanc is the top scoring freshmen in the nation while Huxley holds down the stop spot nationally for defenseman. Kyle Richter has started two of Harvard's three games, posting a 1-1-0 record with a .905 save percentage and a 4.00 goals-against average.

All-Time Against Harvard
In 11 meetings against the Crimson since 2005, the Bobcats have posted a 3-6-2 record all-time. Quinnipiac's last win came in their first meeting last season, a 5-2 win in Hamden. The Bobcats have never lost to Harvard on their home ice, posting a 2-0-2 record all-time, including a 1-0-2 mark at the TD Bank Sports Center.

Scouting Dartmouth
The Dartmouth Big Green enter this weekend with a record of 0-3-0, searching for their first win of the 2009-10 season. Dartmouth lost to Harvard, 5-3,  to open the year before losing to Cornell (5-1) and Colgate (3-2) last weekend. Six different Dartmouth players account for Dartmouth's six goals in their first three games. Joe Gaudet and Adam Estoclet have each tallied one goal and one assist for two points. Andrew Owsiak had a team-high two assists. Jody O'Neill has played every minute in goal for Dartmouth, logging a 4.40 goals-against average and a .963 save percentage.

All-Time Against Dartmouth
In nine games against Dartmouth all-time, Quinnipiac is 5-3-1, with wins in three of their last four meetings. Last season, Dartmouth was one of two teams, along with Clarkson, that the Bobcats swept, winning 6-0 at home to complete a four-win in six-days swing before edging the Big Green in the final game of the year to clinch home-ice advantage for the ECAC Hockey Tournament. Quinnipiac has won 3 of 4 meetings on its home ice against the Big Green, including the last two meetings.

ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week
Sophomore Dan Clarke was named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Nov. 9. Clarke became the first Quinnipiac goalie to this season to start consecutive games, logging 120 minutes against Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Clarke helped Quinnipiac to wins in both games, posting 34 saves against Clarkson and 27 against St. Lawrence to send the Bobcats into a four-way tie for first place in the ECAC Hockey standings with four points. Clarke posted a 2.00 goals-against average while his 61 saves on 65 shots gave him a .938 save percentage.For the year, Clarke is 3-1-0 with a .930 save percentage and a 2.60 goals-against average.

Clarke Among The ECAC Hockey Leaders
Dan Clarke currently leads ECAC Hockey with a .930 save percentage after stopping 119 of 128 shots on goal so far this season. His 2.60 GAA ranks fourth in the league.

Mike The Mad Hatter
Mike Atkinson became the first Bobcat to record a hat trick this season, scoring three times against Clarkson in a 4-2 win last Friday. Atkinson's two shorthanded goals in the second and third period, respectively, pushed the Bobcats out in front.

Nice Hustle Mook
Mike Atkinson became the first Quinnipiac men's ice hockey player to score two shorthanded goals in a game since Brandon Wong did it against Bentley on Feb. 6, 2007.

All Night Wong
Brandon Wong is currently tied for second among the ECAC Hockey scoring leaders with 11 points and third on the league's assists charts. Eric Lampe also ranks in the top 10 with 10 points.

One Of Three
Quinnipiac is one of three teams, along with Rensselaer and Union, to feature two players in their lineup that have reached double-digits for points this early in the season.

Off To A Good Start
With a 6-1-0 record through its first seven games, the Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team is off to its best start since joining ECAC Hockey in 2005-06. Quinnipiac's 2-0-0 mark in ECAC Hockey marks the second time, since the 2005-06 season, that the Bobcats opened their league schedule with a pair of wins. Quinnipiac's best record after it's first seven games landed during the 1997-98 season when the Bobcats opened the year at 7-0-0.

Spreading The Wealth
In three of Quinnipiac's last four games, the Bobcats have had five different players score in each of those games. No Quinnipiac played scored in all three games.

4-3-2-1
Quinnipiac has four players - Yuri Bouharevich, Eric Lampe, Brandon Wong and Scott Zurevinski - who have scored in five of Quinnipiac's first seven games. Three of those four - Lampe, Wong and Zurevinski - have scored in  six of Quinnipiac's first seven games. Two of those three, Wong and Zurevinski - had five-game scoring streaks. Lampe is the only player in the line-up to register a point in each game of the season.

Back In The Polls
Fresh off an ECAC Hockey weekend sweep of Clarkson and St. Lawrence, the Bobcats re-entered the national polls after dropping out last weekend. The Bobcats were recognized for the first time this season by InsideCollegeHockey.com in the weekly INCH Power Rankings. The Bobcats were previously included in the "Bubble-icious" section of the poll, but entered the top 20 portion for the first time at No. 19 this week. In addition, the USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Division I Men's Ice Hockey Poll had the Bobcats slotted in at No. 19 while the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine DI poll featured the Bobcats receiving votes.

PairWise Rankings
In the first PairWise Rankings of the 2009-10 season, Quinnipiac ranked 5th of 58 Division I men's ice hockey teams. The PairWise Rankings is the system used by the NCAA to select and seed teams for the NCAA Tournament. Quinnipiac is currently tied for the third-best winning percentage (.8751) in the country.

KRACH Ratings
Similar to the PairWise Rankings, KRACH (Ken's Ratings for American College Hockey, named after statistician Ken Butler who invented the formula) is another ranking system in determining, objectively, where a team ranks nationally. Quinnipiac is currently ranked 8th in the country.

Breaker Breaker 1-9
Scott Zurevinski (#19) totaled two goals and two assists against Robert Morris. Zurevinski, who scored one goal and picked up an assist in each game of the two-game set, ranks among the team leaders with four goals and five assists for nine points. Zurevinski has registered a point in five straight games.

Greg The Grinder
Senior Greg Holt enjoyed a solid weekend as the Bobcats split a two-game series at Robert Morris last weekend. Holt and Scott Zurevinski tied for the team lead with two goals and two assists apiece. Holt had a goal and assist in each game. 

Good Weekend Rook
Freshman Zach Davies turned in a pair of solid performances against RMU. Davies picked up his first point of the season in Friday night's win before scoring his first career goal, and assisting on another, on Saturday night.

Gimme Five
Four different Bobcats scored their first goal of the season against Robert Morris, including: Brett Dickinson, Greg Holt, Jean-Marc Beaudoin and Yuri Bouharevich. Zach Davies scored his first career goal on the following night.

First Shutout Of The Year
Quinnipiac picked up its first shutout of the season with a 5-0 win against Robert Morris on Friday night. A strong back-check and a 20-save performance from freshman Eric Hartzell, who improved to 2-0-0 for his career, in goal helped the QU cause.

Closing The Door
Last season, Quinnipiac was 16-0-0 in games in which it led after the second period. In their last 38 games in that scenario, dating back to last season and including last Friday's win against Robert Morris, Quinnipiac is undefeated at 35-0-3 when playing with a lead heading into the final frame. The Bobcats last loss,when leading after the second period, came in the 2006-07 ECAC Hockey Championship Game when Clarkson scored four third period goals to come-from-behind and take the league crown.
