Robert Morris Defeats Volleyball, 3-0

HAMDEN, Conn. - Senior Erin Overdevest (Bridgeton, N.J.) tallied a season-high 14 digs, but the Quinnipiac University volleyball team was defeated by Robert Morris, 3-0, Monday afternoon at the Burt Kahn Court. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 3-23 (2-11 NEC), while the Colonials improve to 11-18 (8-4 NEC).

Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) had a team-high seven kills and two service aces for the Bobcats, while Kayla Lawler (Richmond, Ind.) had 20 assists. Alyssa Naylor (San Diego, Calif.) contributed two blocks.

The Bobcats got progressively more competitive in the match, falling 25-11 in the first set, before pushing the score to 25-18 and 25-20, in the second and third sets, respectively.   

The Bobcats return to action Friday, when they play their final road match of the season at Fairleigh Dickinson. First serve from Stratis Arena in Hackensack, N.J., is scheduled for 7 p.m.
