HAMDEN, Conn. - The Northeast Conference's men's tennis coaches have picked Quinnipiac to finish second in the league, the conference office today announced. The Bobcats, which advanced to the NEC Tournament Semifinals a year ago, earned three first-place votes. Quinnipiac University freshmen men's tennis player Andrew Weeden (Martinsville, N.J.) has been named the Northeast Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, the league office today announced. Quinnipiac University men's tennis freshman Andrew Weeden's (Martinsville, N.J.) run at the Connecticut State Championships ended Sunday, when he was defeated by Yale's Erik Blumenkranz, 7-6, 6-2, in the semifinals at Yale's Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
