Quinnipiac sophomore Heather Schwartzburg (Mission Viejo, Calif.) has been named to the Jewish Sports Review 2010 Women's Softball All-America Team. Schwartzburg continues to build upon her impressive resume, as she was previously named to the Akadema/NEC 2010 All-Conference First Team after collecting Akadema/NEC Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman in 2009. The Quinnipiac University Department of Athletics and Recreation placed 72 student-athletes on the 2010 Northeast Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. Of the 72 student-athletes honored with a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher, 27 were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, which highlights those student-athletes with a GPA of 3.75 or higher. Quinnipiac softball senior Katie Allendorfer (Glenside, Pa.) and baseball sophomore Chris Migani (Orange, Conn.) were named the Quinnipiac Athletes of the Month for May. Allendorfer led the softball team to the Northeast Conference Tournament while Migani was the Bobcats' top offensive threat down the stretch. (full story)

SOFT: Bobcats Finish 28-24

The No. 3 Quinnipiac softball team was eliminated from the 2010 Northeast Conference Softball Tournament following a 6-0 loss to No. 2 Monmouth in their first game of the day, and a 3-0 loss to No. 4 Robert Morris in their second game of the day. Quinnipiac finishes the year at 28-24 overall. (full story)
