SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) hosted “Quinnipiac Day” on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 to officially welcome the Bobcats to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The event was held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

"It was a real thrill to see the Quinnipiac basketball display unveiled at the National Basketball Hall of Fame,” said Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald. “To be at the Hall of Fame and see Quinnipiac Basketball displayed with the legends of basketball gave all that attended a huge sense of pride at the growth of Quinnipiac University and our athletics program. This event gave everyone at Quinnipiac a perfect celebration of our invitation to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC)."

Directed by Quinnipiac men’s basketball coach Tom Moore and women’s basketball coach Tricia Fabbri, “Quinnipiac Day” kicked off with a Coaches’ Clinic on the Court of Dreams and was followed by a chance for fans to explore the historic landmark and its memorabilia.
